Volume XX

“We proved that this government — a government of the people and by the people — still works for the people” Barack Obama

When 54% of American voters oppose healthcare reform, how can

a government OF the people and BY the people pass a bill that’s

opposed BY a majority of the people?

I’ll tell you (as if you thought I wouldn’t)

There is a majority in senate that dismisses public opinion as nothing

more than nuisance.  This in itself is extremely distressing when Obama

was the “people’s choice”.  And this is how he repays you for your

votes?  By completely ignoring the majority of Americans.

I don’t really want to get into numbers & graphs that explain how

Obama’s spending will be the downfall of our economy.  Or the fact

that, he is on pace to have increased the national debt more than twice

the previous administration.

Also, in February of 2008 Obama blasted the Clinton’s in a mailer that

was sent out before super Tuesday for “wreaking massive losses on the

Democratic party throughout the 1990s” one of the things Obama

targeted was the Clinton’s proposed tax increase /

healthcare reform plan.

Hmmm, tax increase / healthcare reform… sound familiar?

Slick talking got him the job – now that he’s waist deep in it

let’s see if he can sweet talk his way out of this.  According to a

Democratic party leader, Obama now has to hit the road to “sell”

healthcare reform to the angry public.

My question is this…

If this is a government FOR the people, BY the people

THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING TO SELL – WE’D ALREADY BE ON BOARD

(Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t that make sense?)

You wanted change… now I have to deal with it.

Personally I do not see why Obama’s focus has been on

healthcare reform, when the economy, unemployment, foreign

policy and who knows what else is spiraling into the abyss.

I agree our whole healthcare system needs over hauling -

but is now the right time?

A very old man once wrote... "I Think Not"

(I have a quota I have to hit for Chris jokes - there, check that off my list)

I’m going to play devil’s advocate right now, but as the world is

circling the drain -do I really give a flying fuck if Pedro (who is probably

here illegally) has health insurance?  Sure, let’s keep him healthy

so he can live long and suck the government teet dry while the rest

of working America foots the bill.  As a matter of fact – let's provide

excellent healthcare so Mrs. Pedro can have 13 little Pedro Jr’s –

don’t worry, put it on Dave’s bill, his dumb ass always has a job

(and plays in a band on the weekends, too because he wants

to provide health insurance for a fucking family he

doesn’t even know and couldn't understand them if he did!!!)

Ok, now I’m just upsetting myself…

I think I'll leave it at that until I calm down a little bit -

I have 2400 pages of shit to decipher before I update again...
