"The only constant in life is change"
CHANGE
Personally I’ve always been a big believer in change.
“Out with the old and in with the new” has always been a motto of mine.
Something new always seems to brighten things.
(A new friend, a new shirt, a new car, a new porno movie, etc.)
But as I get older I realize that there are some things that cannot be replaced, there are things that we take for granted, that we feel will always be there and the thought of losing them really doesn’t enter our mind.
I could never understand why my great grandmother was so happy to see me, even if it was for a few seconds. It seemed to mean more to her than to me at the time. It really didn’t occur to me how precious those few seconds were until I watched her pass away. I guess she understood what I hadn’t quite yet grasped.
NOTHING LASTS FOREVER.
Now I’d give anything to have those few seconds back. Even if it was just to tell her that I love her and now I understand…

Where is Dave going with this? (We’re well into the 4th paragraph and the word porno has only been used once)
Well I’ll tell you.
Dan Marino retired last week.
I am truly upset. For 17 years I watched, marveled and enjoyed his art. We will never see anything like him, ever again.
The most upsetting thing is the way that he was literally forced out of the organization. I think it’s the first time in the history of man that a team has quit an individual (not the other way around).
Some coaches said he was washed up, others said he could still play and the Dolphins did not give him an opportunity to prove either side wrong.
I’m disgusted.
It was a selfish thing to do to the man that has defined the organization for so long.
For me Sunday will never be the same.

Iran has lashed out claiming that the U.S. is insincere in dealing with the Islamic Republic. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza-Asefi claims That recent comments made by American officials had an inappropriate tone. Well Hamid, how’s this for tone… Fuck you and your country and seven-eleven.

Remember how I said Sunday’s would never be the same? Well there’s so much change happening I’m starting to think that the rest of the week will never be the same either.
I’m all out of patience and time…
