I've been saying it for years. I've been writing it since the inception of this page, but people just don't get it.
As long as we accept sub-par products, sub-par services, and sub-par entertainment, the economic machine that we call capitalism will continue to churn out shit. And that is exactly what it is…SHIT!
(Hold on to your seat folks, this is going to get pretty ugly)
Chrysler manufactures it on a daily basis, and we still buy it. Practically every restaurant, grocery store, and department store now specializes in poor service and even convenience stores (go figure) are catching on with the trend. It's convenient for them to make you wait in line, when there IS NO LINE!! It's convenient for them to take $20 from you, claim that you gave them $10, pretend to go in back and count the drawer and then send you on your way with a $13 bottle of Evian!!!
Here are some facts that you probably did not know.
This Year Wawa:
Served more than 300 million customers, sold over 100 million cups of alleged award-winning coffee, sold more than 24 million built- to-order hoagies (of the 24 million orders only 87 orders were correct), sold more than 92 million quarts of their own line of dairy products, juices and teas, received 20 million cases of produce in all stores, and…
SCAMMED ME OUT OF $10!!!!
Does that old lady think that the little brown smock makes her untouchable? Does she think that she's above the law? Does she think that I can't expose her for what she is?
She was sadly mistaken…
I'll tell you exactly what she is…
She is an old brown smock too much makeup wearing needs to re-dye her roots and get the brown cigarette stains off of her teeth and her fingers BITCH!!!
Now don't we all feel better?
It would not be so bad if they advertised the fact that their service sucked or that their product would outlive their warranty by two days or that they were going to try to steal money from you. A person could not even be mad, because you were at least warned!!
We need more honest advertising like this:
Now that's service…with a smile!
We should all go into a Wawa, order a "hoagie" or two and then leave. If enough people did that (obviously at a Wawa that you do not frequent, I'm pissed not stupid) they would begin to see a slight decline in their profit margin.
MAYBE THEN THEY WOULD SENSE THAT WE'VE HAD ENOUGH!
Is it me or can you sense another Crusade against corporate America?

On the brighter side it seems that we've been blessed with a gentler, kinder Louis Farrakhan as of late.
(Oh… it's true, it's true)
It seems that prostate cancer has mellowed his black separatism views. Long gone are the anti-Semitic and anti-white remarks. The new Minister Farrakhan has invited all races to Monday's "Million Family March."
(It appears that a little ass problem can bring you closer to all mankind)
There will also be a mass wedding (10,000+) ala Reverend Sun Myung Moon, who is apparently assisting in organizing the rally.
I can see it now, ten years from now a little child will ask:
"Mommy, where did you and daddy get married?"
She'll answer:
"Oh, honey it was beautiful. There were a lot of people there, celebrities like Will Smith, Stevie Wonder, Venus & that other Williams sister, Whitney Houston & her work release husband, the entire Washington police force in full riot gear, and Minister Farrakhan led the ceremony."
Then the child will say:
"I bet you looked pretty mommy, did the celebrities think so?"
And you'd have to expect the answer:
"All of them except Stevie Wonder."
On the brighter side, congratulations to our new Miss America, Miss Hawaii, Angela Perez-Baraqui. She's a 24 year-old elementary school teacher. Where the hell were the teachers like that when I was young? She definitely a candidate for the Dave's World "Wood Hall of Fame."
